The five (5) scholars from SRC were Juan Carlos Urbano, Marianne Hazzelle Bullos, Xyz Phoelane Beth-Amiel Dagum, Bianca Jocson, Rodeilyn Omanio together with their teacher-chaperone Mr. Joy R. Delos Reyes joined the said event.
Along with them were the twenty- two (22) Japanese delegates from Ritsumeikan Junior & Senior High School from Kyoto, Japan headed by their Vice Principal, Takenaka Hirofumi.
The event was a 5-day summit designed with fun-filled experiences, aiming to enhance the confidence and cultural awareness of each participant.
The Filipino & Japanese delegates engaged in various programs – classroom, cultural and community immersions as well as poverty alleviation, disaster mitigation.
Historical sites in Leyte after the three years of the onslaught of the super typhoon Yolanda were also highlighted. Also, it promoted the 3P’s – protection of our environment, promotion of science & technology and preservation of peace and solidarity among nations.
