BrACKET v.2.0 braces DepEd ZamboSur Featured

Imprinting an impact on the academic community as one of its commitments, Philippine Science High School- SOCCSKSARGEN Region Campus (PSHS –SRC) endeavored to promote a culture of science in the community through the conduct of the Five- Day Live- In Training on Bridging the Academic Capability of K-12 Elementary Teachers (BrACKET) v.2.0 at the Teachers Center of Excellence, Schools Division Office, Dai, Pagadian City on June 26- 30, 2017.

The said training was attended by sixty (60) Grades 4- 6 teachers of schools offering Special Science Elementary Schools (SSES) Program in Congressional Districts I and II of Zamboanga del Sur.

The teachers were given inputs on the 21st century teaching and classroom activities that cater to 21st century learners.

The 5- day training, facilitated by the select faculty members of SRC, was comprised of simultaneous sessions on Science, Abstract Reasoning, English, Mathematics and ICT Integration which were attended by the participants through group rotations per day.  

According to Hilda U. Babon, Ph.D., Schools Division Superintendent of Zamboanga del Sur, the said training contributed greatly in the pursuit of excellence of the Science Curriculum Program in the Division. Further, she said that teachers enjoyed and learned new teaching strategies and activities that will enhance their capability in implementing the Science Curriculum.

During the closing program, Chuchi P. Garganera Ph.D., the Program Leader of BrACKET v.2.0, acknowledged the individuals and institutions who have made the conduct of the activity possible, especially the Congressional Office of Zamboanga del Sur- District 1 headed by Congresswoman Divina Grace C. Yu whose commitment to the advancement of the province in terms of education paved way to the partnership with PSHS- SRC to realize the conduct of the said training.
