PSHS- SRC commits to uphold the PSHSS core values of passion for excellence and promoting global excellence in education. Currently, the school continues to grow and set new heights in providing science education not only in SOCCSKSARGEN but in National Level. 

January 21, 2017 at Don Bosco School, Biñan Laguna; the scholars are in the venue with the game-face on, together with Coach Kevin Daga-as, the battle is rough and tough.

After the game, with the thorough judging SRC team claims the Rookie of the Year for the Category of Line Tracing where in robots will track the dark line label on the ground. The category is represented by Kristofer Sano and Kenneth John de Claro, both are in Grade 9 scholars.

February 1, 2017 at SMX Convention Davao City; Daniel Angelo Mirador, a  grade 10 scholar represents PSHS SRC for the 6th PAWD National Science & Math Quiz, a competition hosted by the Philippine Association of Water Districts, together with Coach Paul Randy Gumanao, SRC awarded as the 1st Runner-up.

February 4, 2017 at XU-Ateneo de Cagayan, Cagayan de Oro City; the SRC team competes for the Philippine National Chemistry Olympiad 2017 - Regional Eliminations. The team represented by Daniel Mirador, Carl Marcelo and Kaye Catipay and Coach Ruemar L. Delima brings the Champion: Carl Marcelo, 1st Place: Daniel Mirador and 2nd place: Kaye Catipay.

 January 27, 2017 at Sultan Kudarat State University; the place for the 1st South Central Mindanao Math Challenge. SRC competes with the regional competitors for both individual and team category, together with Coaches Jeovannie Soncio and Fritzie Mae Valenzuela and the team represented by Carl Marcelo, Shevvie Belle Delgado and Rebekah Hormigos. Still, SRC grabs the 2nd place for Individual Quiz Category and 6th Place for Team Quiz Bee.

 January 10, 2017 at Lispher Inn, Davao City, Daniel Mirador with Coach Paul Randy Gumanao grabs the Regional Science & Math Quiz - Southern & Central Mindanao Water Information Council as a Champion winner.
